About Christa

Hi there, I’m Christa, a married mom of 2 kids and 2 very large dogs originally from Ohio and now living in the Pacific Northwest. I am a leadership coach who loves partnering with people! Why coaching? Because we all need that person in our life who will listen, not judge, and allow us the space to figure things out. Every person I meet is on their own unique journey in life. Every person is trying to overcome the roadblocks that pop up on that journey. I love when clients figure things out, have “Aha” moments and push through obstacles that are standing in their way (especially those obstacles that have been fixed hurdles for many years). I feel humbled when clients allow me to join them while they explore, navigate challenges, and ultimately achieve their goals.

I am a certified professional coach with over 20 years of experience working in Human Resources in various industries, including financial services, IT, consulting, retail and start-up. I have a BA in Psychology and a minor in Organizational Behavior Management from Miami University (of Ohio). I received my Professional Certified Coach (PCC) accreditation through the ICF (International Coaching Federation) and received my coaching certification through iPEC (Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching). That’s a lot of acronyms I know, but it’s the passion that I bring to what I do that means more than any certification.

My favorite part of my job in HR was helping leaders develop their skills to positively impact those around them. I was encouraged to do more of what I loved, so I sought out coaching as a way to grow my own skill set. I applied these skills in my HR role and was given an opportunity to focus solely on coaching. I was hooked! After leaving the corporate world, I started my own coaching practice which was really nerve wracking but very exciting!

Working for so many years with employees and managers across multiple levels provided me with valuable insight into the challenges that so many workers face as well as solutions that helped them to achieve their career goals. I would love to work with you 1:1 to explore what is standing in your way and identify what solutions would work best for you.

When I’m not coaching, you can find me:

  • Reading (lots of reading) - Some of my favorites are Kristin Hannah, Brene Brown, Adam Grant, & Shirzad Chamine.

  • Enjoying the beautiful Pacific Northwest (yes, even the rain) - Camping, beach combing, walking, and just being in nature.

  • Spending time with my family—playing board games, watching Ohio State football (Go Bucks!), doing puzzles while listening to podcasts, and trying new recipes (love vegan cooking).
